I disagree with everyone else. this made me crave Dorritos. in fact, i watched this cartoon about half an hour ago, i only just got to writing this review because first i needed to raid my cabinets for my bag of Dorritos. cool ranch, in case you were wondering.

anyway, on to the animation itself. i thought it was incredibly well done. i like your style with the character designs and your use of color was great. which is made even more impressive by the fact that you drew it all in pencil and then colored in photoshop. i couldn't imagine making an animation that flowed that well in pencil. i look forward to seeing more of your work.

i absolutely love your art style. everything about it. the characters, the animations, the backgrounds. it was a short, beautifully done piece with a simple, but funny story. and it wasn't that in your face funny that a lot of people try to go for, but a subtle and simple funny. i wasn't rolling on the floor laughing, but it still left a smile on my face. i look forward to more stuff from you, preferably soon.

well, i'm sad to see the series go, but i'm glad you at least decided to cut it off at a reasonable time instead of letting it drag on until you ran out of ideas and just started making episodes about the stupidest shit (like spongebob).

anyway, it was a wonderful cartoon, as has been the rest of the series. i find it impressive how you manage to make the shots simple, like how you essentially had him sitting in the chair showing pictures of characters from the cartoon and it still held my attention (which is no easy task considering the strength of my ADHD). and i agree with every point you have ever made about the decline about cartoons.

not sure what else to say really. the whole reason for this review was just to say goodbye to a lovely series. so, goodbye!

i thought surely the charm would wear after a little while, but here i am with all the medals. you added enough variety with the different characters and they're different play styles (though that was mostly just jump height), that it and the humor kept me around. i also really liked the power gloves special really did effect the level, that was a nice addition. but i did notice that when you're against the power glove, his special doesn't effect you, which i thought could have been a cool randomly generated hard mode.

this is a great idea and you've really got something cool here.

Darren responds:

Thanks, glad you got that much out of it. I was just thinking about that power glove thing yesterday and whether I should actually add it. Might still sneak it in...

i had a lot of fun with this. overall, it was a good point and click adventure, but i do feel like i sort of disagree with some of the logic choices. for example, i have to turn on the computer before i can enter my code into the vending machine. logically, it would make sense for me to have to turn on the computer to see which drug i needed to deduct which code i needed to enter, but in a real life circumstance, i would be able to slap random buttons without that knowledge, making it a little annoying to have to go through every single step for every time i play through it. but i completely understand and respect your decision to do it that way.

additionally, i think the way you chose to incorporate medals added a fair bit of enjoyment to it. admittedly, i clicked the link to find the requirements to unlock the medals, but it still added fun variety to it when completing it five separate times. lastly, i liked the Usain Bolt medal. it took me a couple tries, but i got it down and it was actually super achievable.

in summary, you did a great job. it was fun to play, nice to look at, and kept me interested. keep up the good work and i look forward to future projects.

Aprime responds:

Yeah, I felt the user logging into the computer was the most important part especially since they had to work out the username from the room they're in and the pictures on the wall. By allowing them to type in the correct code without the computer part, the 4th wall is kinda broken.
Glad you found the medals achievable, didn't want to make it too hard.
Thank you very much. Stay tuned.

a delightfully addicting upgrade game. the game art is very well done and gives the game a great retro feel. and i feel like the simple game mechanics made it feel even more retro. all in all, a fun and addicting game. my only complaint is how long the "stage clear" screen lasts. in fact, i specifically wrote this review only while the stage clear screen was up.

VaragtP responds:

Thank you! In the next update, when you click the mouse in stage clear the time is cut in half for how long it usually takes :)

unshaven robot fornication.
it's all i can think to describe what i'm hearing. like, if the transformers made a dirty seventies porno. this was a great song, it just didn't let up. i'm gonna have to check out the rest of your work. if the rest is half as good as this, i'm excited.

Rig responds:

Yes, it's all half as good. ;P

painfully inspiring

when i listen to this song, and sad music in general, i feel inspired. in this song's case, it motivates me to prove that this song isn't the story of my life. i can relate to the song, anyone who feels they can't relate is probably an arrogant prick, but i still have time to prove i'm more than a geek, that the girl of my dreams is the one missing out, and maybe i'm just hard on myself when i say i'm a terrible guy.

I listened to this song, and for the first time since getting into college, i sat down and just wrote. i've always had a problem with staying focused and sitting still, but i've written a four page paper, just listening to this on repeat. and it's still on repeat, i'm just writing this review before i move on to my next paper.

and lastly, i realize you didn't make it, but it's an amazing beat. it fits the message perfectly, has kind of a sad feeling, but isn't completely depressing. beautiful song. 5/5 and favorited

ExtraordinaryTerrest responds:

Thanks so much man, I'm really glad you were feeling it. That's all I can ask really! I was really going through a hard time when I wrote this, and just knowing that it could help anybody, even a little bit, makes it all worth it!

Thanks for having a listen man, and I hope I can catch your attention again some day!

fantastic

this song. is fucking fantastic. you combined orchestra with dubstep perfectly. the intro was clean and beautiful. as you said below, it's been done before. but if it wasn't brilliant, it wouldn't be made often. and it was pure dub gold from there.

when the track started "skipping" the first time i heard this, my heart skipped a beat. i was legitimately worried about what just happened. then, when it started up again, a shiver went down my spine. when everyone says "this is the best thing on newgrounds" or "you're some kind of producing god", they aren't just stroking your ego. you're fucking brilliant, man.

broove responds:

This is awesome, thank you for nice words, man. I need an ego boost sometimes.

double meaning?

could it be, dear luis, that secretly your relate more to this piece than you're letting on?

could it be, in your mind, instead of pico in a green lantern costume, it is you? in a green lantern costume? getting sucked into Newgrounds? do you feel trapped on Newgrounds sometimes? do you feel like a hero? perhaps, you feel everyone THINKS you're a hero and deep down, you know you're not? cause we all know green lantern didn't have powers, his ring did.

seriously though, why green lantern? just cause pico wears a similar shade of green?

wanna hold hands?
